Leading energy software business, Kaluza, today announces a new General Manager for Australia, Gavin Mooney, and senior appointments across operational excellence, marketing and engineering.
Gavin Mooney joins the business as Kaluza’s General Manager for Australia, bringing over 20 years of global energy software experience from SAP and Powercloud. Based in Kaluza’s ANZ headquarters in Melbourne, Gavin will lead local operations to support the deployment of the Kaluza platform among Australian retailers, enabling them to automate core processes and innovate new propositions for customers.
Kaluza is currently powering all OVO Energy Australia customer accounts and has achieved +40 NPS and reduced cost-to-serve by 45%. In less than one month, the platform has enabled OVO Energy Australia to launch a series of propositions across electric vehicles (EVs) and solar panels, saving customers hundreds of dollars on their energy bills.

In addition to Gavin, Kaluza has appointed Assia Iossifova, former Marketing Director at Ocado Group, as its new VP of Communications and Marketing, based in London. Assia brings over 15 years’ experience leading marketing for B2B software businesses which are redefining critical sectors. In her new role, Assia will propel Kaluza’s global marketing efforts in new markets.
Kevin Morris also joins Kaluza as VP of Engineering following a decade of senior leadership positions including VP of Engineering at Medidata Solutions and Chief Technology Officer at Osprey Flight Solutions. Kevin’s cross-industry experience and stellar track record in creating high-functioning engineering teams will support the scaling of Kaluza’s SaaS platform as it powers millions more customer accounts across the world.
